I was thinking about how damaging blow drying your hair can be and I know some of us try to lessen the damage by drying on warm or cool (not hot). So then I thought what is REALLY less damaging?

Is it better to dry for 10 mins on warm or cool?
OR
Is it better to dry for 5 mins on hot?

(of course it is best to not blow dry at all...but if you do which one do you think is less damaging).

I would say that 10 minutes on warm or cool is better than 5 minutes on hot. The scorching heat being blown directly at your hair is what causes damage. If the dryer's set on warm, or even better, cool, then I would imagine there wouldn't be a problem-- since the air isn't super scorching hot

If it's set on cool, that would be like the equivalant to standing outside in a strong breeze, right? :look:

I use an ionic dryer and it only takes me about 10 mins on medium heat.
