Blow Drying ? for Nay007...

OK I read in your post where you said you blow dry your hair with a round brush and have used Lusters Pink Oil.

Do you mind explaining your blowdrying technique?

Our hair is totally different and it takes more heat to straighten my hair but if you could tell me what kind of brush your use...is it one of those thermal barrel kinds with the holes or just a regular round bristle brush? I am just curious b/c it probably would leave my hair in a big frizzy bush when finished!!!

I currently use a comb attachment but I have heard that a brush was much better for your hair.

Thanks in advance

hey valleygirl,

first of all here is the link for the round brush that i use.
http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/product.asp?dept%5Fid=1720&pf%5Fid=209801

just wanted to make sure before i forget it.
i just wash and condition my hair and then wrap it in a towel for about 20 minutes.
i then use my leave in contioner to detangle my hair with a wide tooth comb.
then i start at the back of my head. i just take a small section and put some, well i used to put pink oil moisturizer on each section, and smooth the section with the round brush.
then i take the brush and start rolling the hair on it. make sure the hair is kind of tight on the brush but i never pull too hard. the best thing to do is when you smooth the section just stop the brush when you almost at the end of the section. and then roll the rest of it on the brush. then you just start blowdrying.
i always move the blowdryer along the section and never stay too long at one spot. but i do have my blowdryer right on my hair, maybe 1 inch between.
always make sure that each section is completely dry or the hair will frizz up later on. now you do section by section. i hope it doesn't sound tooo complicated. /images/graemlins/ooo.gif

good luck!

Thanks Nay
Yes it makes perfect sense. Thanks for explaining it in such detail. It sounds as if I could do it but the brush you use....sounds like a recipe for disaster for my hair!!!!

I do have a Charles Worthington paddle brush that doesn't look like it will do much damage so maybe I ll try that...but I like the brush idea better...seems like it leaves a nice curl on the ends....

Oh well I will let you all know how it turns out if I try it
Thanks again
