Bleaching transitioning hair

Is it a good idea to bleach your hair while transitioning? I want to lift my hair one shade in the back and about 2-3 shades in the front all the way down to the root.
5 months post, 2 inches new growth

I haven't done it personally, but my bestie did while she was transitioning. Her new growth took differently than the relaxed ends.

It came out darker or lighter?

Her new growth came out 2 or 3 shades lighter than her relaxed ends.

You can totally do it just as long as your relaxed ends are healthy enough to manage the bleach. You should start bleaching from your relaxed ends up because your new growth will take the color the fastest. So if you section off the hair while you bleach the relaxed ends, going back to bleach the roots will be way easier and effective.
