Bleaching: foil or plastic?

I want to get my hair to a light pale blonde without heat so I can tone it white. Should I put plastic wrap or foil on it? Which is better? Thanks!

I can't think of any ladies off the top of my head who bleach their hair so you might not get very many responses. If you have noticed someone with bleached hair in their siggie you might be better off sending them a pm. Meanwhile i'm bumping this hoping you'll get responses soon.
