Are you a henna user?

I ask because my hair bleached the same way, light at the roots with an orange cast but the ends were very resistant to bleach. So an upside down ombre effect.

What products/technique did you use for your braidout?

Very pretty.

Do you roll your ends or leave them straight?

AKA-Tude and deltagyrl

I braid medium/large sized braids on soaking wet hair that has been detangled well. I used Mixed Silk Leave in the Kimmay way. I used castor oil on the ends and I twirl them around my finger to get the curl at the end. In the past my braidouts did not look good. I think that was because I was using to much/too many product. This has definately worked the best for me. This is my 2nd time doing it this way.

Pretty! Love the color!

What steps did you take to do an at home color OP?

LittleLuxe

I used 30 creme developer with a packet of powdered bleach. Then I let it set for about 40 minutes. When I saw that it was turning the fiery red I washed it out. (Note that I had attempted to dye my hair red with a box dye about a month ago and it hardly showed up. So I think some of the redness is from that. I deep conditioned for a few hours afterward and then braided it up. My hair isn't dry at all and it's very soft. I plan to just keep up with Dc'ing and using a leave in.

Damaged but not out

I only used henna 1x last year and didn't really like it. It made my hair really dry and porous. I did use a red box dye on my hair about a month ago and it didn't take. I'm assuming that was the red color just sitting on my hair and it mixed in with the bleach.

yaaaaay i love it, it's like the mad hatter's hair!!!! (i actually LOVED that color, makes curls look so pretty)

I really love the outcome of the colour and the braid outs. I love the fact that the braid out looks like a wash and go-basically like your natural curl pattern unmanipulated. My braidouts usually look awkward to me I may revisit and curl the ends of my hair instead of braiding it to its entirety.
