So I usually get a steady 6 inches of hair per year. I rarely retain it, unless I'm extra good. :look:

I started taking Biotin, MSM, Vitamin C and some other un-hair-related(or so I think) supplements. So, right now I am seven weeks post relaxer and I have hair growth for days. It is more than I thought. I'm guessing about an inch stretched. Check this out.

Also, notice that my bangs are not see-through. my hair has thickened up from the root and retained more thickness throughout the strands. I add MSM to my DC as well.

Congratulations.

I'm taking Biotin, MSM, B-Complex and Vitamin C too and my hair and nails are thriving.

They are staples in my vitamin regimen.:yep:
That's some fabulous growth in 3 months.
Congrats on finding something that works for you.:)

I know you wasn't talking to me, but yes it helps. Especially when you're taking it along side the Biotin.:yep:

'preciate it. well, lemme post the rest of my supplements then, maybe its other things too. lol

tart black cherry
grapefruit seed extract
olive leaf extract
vitamin D drops
Twin Labs Allergy multi
(I don't have insurance so I have to do all sorts of preventative supplemnents. I can't afford to get sick AT ALL)

Fabulous! I started taking that combo as my simplified reggie and I concur. Although I had no idea it result like this, I was taking Vit-C to help the other vit. digest better. Who knew!

I love it, all that new growth!!!!!!!!!

I don't know anything about the first three that you listed.
I think that the biotin + b-complex, msm + vitamin c, and the vitamin d drop + the extra vitamin d that you've gotten from extra sun exposure (that spring and summer boost that a lot of people get) is what's doing it. You're taking all of the right things, and not going overboard. You've chosen you're sups well.:yep:

It took lots of trial and error and research and of course reviews from here on the board. I feel really good with this combination.

Thanks for the confirmation.. Taking the same combo too, plus adding silica drops to my water bottle..thanks op!

I've been considering silica, I'm not sure of the benefits of it though, How does it help?

thanx for this thread !!!

what amt of these sups are we taking here ?

let me think. I take 3000 mg of MSM(I think, its the powder and I do one teaspoon) I do 500 mg of vit C(one tablet). . .but i also drink lots of Orange juice to wash it all down so i'm sure there is more in there. And on the biotin, I take one tablet, its by Puritan's Pride but I don't know what the dosage is off hand.

With all these abbreviations I am drawing a blank....what's MSM?

MSM is methylsulfonylmetane, an organic source of sulfur.

I use silica drops as I was advised its all you need for hair growth. I also take alta silica tablets as well, which is pretty much horse tail silica.

oooh I just googled it .... welp I have 1.5 bottles of it left lol

but I also have loose vits and supplements (biotin, msm, evening primrose and omega3) that I rotate with the maxi hair.... Im sure I have some vit C at home too

so maybe I'll not restock after I finish what I have

@vtoodler

Thanks .... is that good or bad :ohwell:

Depends on how much preformed vitamin A you get from your diet/other supplements.

Generally, however, it's a good idea to get the plant-based forms of vitamin A because you can't overdose on them. You can, however, overdose on the preformed versions of vitamin A.

the maxi hair has 100% of the daily value

I'll just reduce my usage Ive been using pretty much consistently since april of this year.
