Bigen Hair Powder

Does anyone know if this is a hair color or a hair rinse? Can I use it every few months? The people in the beauty supplies don't have a clue.

Miss Montserrat, I have seen this at the beauty supplies and the packaging does not say whether its a color or rinse. I would also like to know.

Anyone who has used it please respond.

bigen is a hairpowder that your stylist mixes at the salon. it is not a rinse. i think when i had it applied the color lasted for 2 months, but it washes out although my stylist told me it's a permanent color.
i can only recommend this color. it makes your hair shiny, soft and healthy looking. since it has no chemicals in it, it can be applied when the color has washed out.

Hi Miss Montserrat,

I used to use Begin and it is a permanent haircolor that you mix with water. Sally's Beauty Supply carry it and it's about $5.99. I didn't like how the product worked on my hair...it faded after about a couple of months and dried my hair out worser than if it was a peroxide dye. /images/graemlins/smile.gif It's just another one of those products that may work great for some and not for others. But, you never know for yourself until you try it.

Thanks for the reponses ladies. I'm still a little concerned at the fact that it takes 30 minutes to DEVELOP (leads me to believe it's more than semi-permanent). The ingredients and the blurb are so misleading. It's like NYC parking signs... ambiguous and misleading. However, I've only heard good things (over the years) and the price is affordable. Anyway, thanks again. /images/graemlins/drunk.gif
