BET is giving Juanita Bynum her own talk show!!!

She announced this at the Threshing Floor conference! She said that she is going to be the Holy Ghost Oprah! A representative from BET was there let her know that she is to start shooting the pilot in 2 weeks. I am so glad that so many doors are opening for her!

This should be happening. I interviewed with Bynum when she was looking for writers (to turn No More Sheets into a stageplay). She was in Los Angeles for the meetings with writers and doing work related to the show. Even still...

The Hollywood machine vehicle is fickle and obsessed with timing. They might be waiting for that golden moment. Sometimes they shelve shows indefinitely.

As I mentioned before, this woman is confident and GORGEOUS in real life. Much more youthful than she appears on book covers and in GREAT shape.
