Best/Worst of 2008 Weave Photos

Okay girls, 2008 is coming to an end. Many of us experimented with a lot of vendors, textures, styles, etc.

:scratchchSo, what was your best or worst weave in 2008? It can be on any of the following criteria:

- texture
- manageability
- style
- natural look?
- use life
- cost savings

Best:
- Most Natural Looking:

Goddess Remy Body Wave 16in.

- Manageability/Uselife:

Indique curly, 16 in

Worst:

This damn ratty rat tat closure....Joyastyle curly. Yeah, it was pretty...pretty as a brilo pad.

Amandita in ATL did this style for me. What's amazing is that my hair was sooo short in the front at that time.

Best
Clair Yaky hair... color 2, 10 inches... which was close to bra strap but I asked my stylist to cut it. She used a razor to cut it, which made the ends look more natural. I also left hair in the front out so I could part it. I LOVED IT! Looked so natural, the texture was realistic, my hair always looked full.

Worst
I mean, it wasn't horrible but I didn't like it as much as the first. I decided to get a full weave and I had to get a different kind of hair because Clair Yaky has stopped using human hair. My closure was also color 2 but it didn't match! Luckily it looked like I got highlights... and it took me a while to like the bangs... I thought it was obvious I had a weave. Oh and the hair started getting tangled after only 3-4 weeks. I can't remember what kind I got...

well all my weave pics are in my fotki. Usually all my weaves are full weaves. I want to try weaves with hair left out to make them look more natural.

Kristen i loved your hair that was beautiful. And Jamaicalovely of course the one with the Goddess Remy. I think i had one style with Goddess Remy back when i went to MIA and that actually was my best also even though for some reason to make it look nice i had to put mousse on it to get it to wave up.

Majority of my styles im never satisfied with i guess because they are full weaves and i dont want them to look wiggy so i always end up going to Balisi to get her to thin the weave out...

AAMH Less Texturized - The worst, it actually didnt look bad at all but it was way too much work. The krimps were really deep and it poofed up way too quick yet it looked kind of shiny at times. Ive seen the regular relaxed texture and i'm convinced i should have gotten that one

Extensions Plus Relaxed Texture - The best, hands down this is the best for me. Im natural so I definately need something with a realistic texture that is soft and looks like I just got the best press ever. Its not cheap but Ive already used it twice and its got a lot of life left.

Ive got pics in my fotki of the different installs, I guess they are too big to attach, i'll have to remember to lower the mp count so that the file size wont be too big the next time i take some.
I put them in my Challenge Updates folder.

If that was the wavy one you had at the meetup it did look very nice. I don't really think I had a best and worst. Mine were all about the same.

Yes it was. Thank you! I just called my weave stylist today to book an appointment im kind of tired of the 3/4s and want to give myself a break for a little while. LOL

the first one looks amazing! i would never have known that was a weave. very pretty.
