I have been using Silk elements regular lye and was thinking about switching to no-lye and I keep seeing such great reviews. Pick your fave between the two and please say why you like it so much. Thanks for the help.

Why do you want to switch relaxers? What dont you like about SE lye? I am planning to do my touch up Thursday with SE.

I'm underprocessed again, and the first time I thought it was because I used a Mild. I used regular, and I'm still underprocessed. Now I'm thinking that it is the SE. I had the relaxer in my hair for a total of 25 minutes and then it began to burn a little, so I went ahead an rinsed it out. I now have about 6 inches of underprocessed hair that I have to flatiron after I rollerset. I don't want to use that kind of heat every week.

So my plan was to do a corrective in 4 weeks and I'm wondering if I should use the SE or the ORS.

i ain't ever going back to no-lye! actually my favorite relaxer so far is Bantu lye in super. Motions lye left me underprocessed for months!

I voted ORS, no burning, leave my hair silky and moisturized.

I also agree with this. I love ORS relaxer. I stated in another thread about how it's the only relaxer I've used where my hair actually ends up looking like the lady's on the box. But I've never tried SE, I just know that ORS works. Good Luck.:)

I chose ORS regular, because:

1.It has the same active ingredient as Phytospecific, which I cant afford.

2.I noticed my Hair that relaxed with ORS is thcker, softer.

I have used it twice, the first time, I used it for the recommended time, and didnt get my hair as str8 as I wanted, the second time, I overlapped the older ORS relaxed hair, and left the perm on longer (basing my scalp w/ a menthol based grease), and it got my hair 90% str8 which is fine, so the next time i perm, that old growth can stand a lil perm on it. Used optimum b4, and it stripped my hair, was a faith ful sont-n-beautifuluser b4 that.
