It really depends... I voted Blunt.

Sometimes the whole thin hair thing doesn't work with layers.

As a matter of fact I had a class mate some years ago who had very thin relaxed hair. She was saying her stylist was going to layer her hair to make it appear thicker. Right away in my thoughts it was going to appear even thinner....and so will her ponytails. Long story short she came in with layered hair and looked even thinner that before. Because some of the length through the hair was taken away, the *thin hair=get layers* didn't for her.

It truly depends. She wore her hair curled too.

ETA: I have in the past worn blunt. It suits my face and gives a clean edged look, esp. with dark black hair. As a matter of fact I wore my hair in a blunt style with a slightly shorter length in the back until I couldn't clip it in that was anymore since it grew so long. Now it's in a U shape.

I think any great cut (blunt or layered) from a stylist makes the hair look fuller and healthier in general.
