I have a yellow bird. Which is better yellow or silver?

The silver one, by a slim margin. I like the comb attachment on the silver one. It feels more durable and bends a little. It also feels like it’s just a tad better heat quality, as in my ends just feel super smooth and soft after using it, even on high heat, high speed.

I LOVE my RevAir, but the bolded is also true. lol. When my hair was longer and relaxed (I big chopped), I had to make sure the section was fully detangled - especially my ends.

Update: this dryer no longer has my hair feeling good. The ends are rough and it’s not due to the need for a trim (had one recently). I’m not sure what changed, but I’m going to have to upgrade to something better.

The Babyliss Pro is good for a regular blow dryer on my kinky 4b hair. But for me I couldn't get a good blow dry without ripping out my hair and I got heat damage from the comb/brush blow dryers. My preference is the RevAir hands down. Super easy to use and I get a great blow out with hardly any effort.

Same here. I reach for the Dyson exclusively now though. It's just so lightweight and easy.

Yes! I have high porosity hair (not color treated) and the other dryers sucks the moisture from my hair. The adjusted tension and the cool feature
ETA: not color treated, just natural high porosity. My hair dries out extremely fast when wet.

You may have sealed the deal for me. I have a theory that the Revair might help close the cuticles of our high porosity hair. My hair has been HP all of my life. It's not damaged, it's how it grows.

Update, 5 years later.

I hate my Revair. Mostly the design, it makes my arms tired when I was using it. Because of this, I haven't used it in about 2 years. I'm trying to sell it on FB marketplace, just need to take pics.

I got a Dyson in 2021 or 2022 and I'm never going back. Gets my hair dry and straight (with the comb attachment) in about 10 minutes.

Love my Revair...Dyson Airstrait, Dyson supersonic, Dyson professional Dryer, Revlon one-step(round brush version), old school Sedu dryers, Dyson airwrap...etc.

Revair is still my favorite but I love the Dyson Airstrait more than I expected to and I didn't even want the one-step but it lived up to the hype after I purchased it on sale. So many good choices these days. I think you will find a very good replacement.

Oil in products will make the repair wand fall apart, but they do sell replacement wands for about $100 and new wands work on old models. They replaced my first wand free because of that defect, eventhough my unit was out of warranty(about 2 years ago, I wrote about it on the revair b thread..I believe they replaced my wand free because i asked about the defect and it was logged in my caht history before it experienced it). I did find replacing the wand and even buying a back up wand was a good alternative for me.

They all have different functions, and some function better on specific styling goals but all are quality.

1. Supersonic dryer: Quality all-around blow dryer. Very good for traditional blow drying
2. Professional dryer: Stronger motor and longer cord than the regular supersonic. I actually like the consumer version better because the stronger motor on the professional requires me to clean the filter more frequently...and the better professional attachments work on the regular supersonic.
3. Airwrap: Uses air to style hair. Quality all-around tool, but they should give an option to buy the base and only add the attachments you need. I wear my hair in different styles, so I do use all the attachments, but I suspect that most people don't, and those who don't will overpay for it
4. Airstrait: The velocity of the wind prevents this from being a healthy hair tool. It can strip moisture out of your hair to the point of damage, but it stretches hair like a dream.

I want to say the air wrap is my favorite for versatility, and the airstrait is my favorite for a one-swipe stretch, but I really do use and love them all and switch them up depending on my hairstyle. Some work better with certain styles than others. They have supersonic dryers that are lightweight and neural version that have extra technology. They also have a bunch of tech features that I find excessive. I want them to take 100 of the original airwrap since they introduced the airwrap ID, because I don't care about the Bluetooth stuff at all. I just want that plum purple lol.

I think it was the Nural version I tried, the light green one, it dried quickly, but didn't give me the results I get with my Parlux (looks quite straight almost like straighteners were used). My hair was very big and much frizzier than I'm used to after blow drying, so I wasn't at all impressed for the price.

I have something similar to the air wrap, I think it's by Remington, but it's over 30 years old, still looks new as I didn't really use it much. I really like the concept of the RevAir, such a shame we don't have that here. I ideally want the results you describe from the Airstrait, without the heat damage risk. I guess I can't have it all
