High wattage blowdryer bad for fine hair ?

Im shopping around for a blowdryer . I'm not planning on doing Dominican blowouts all the time or anything too damaging but I do need one. I thought higher wattage would be better but I read that a high wattage is too much for fine hair. Thoughts?
