Ist his damaging? This was farther down on the list of one of my braid sprays and I just wanted to know if this was damaging.

I think it's okay--it's also in many of the Pantene products. Here's a def. that I pulled from the net:

a colorless, oily liquid that's only slightly soluble in water.

It's a fatty alcohol which acts as an emollient. You are good to go. Just as cool as cetyls or oleyls
