Before weaving---does anyone condition or strengthen their hair?

I'm getting a weave this weekend and I'm not sure whether to do an Emergencee treatment or a Henna treatment. Any suggestions? What does everyone else do? I just want my hair to be strong enough to sustain this type of manipulation.

Although I have not had weave in a while.. I know it wouldn't hurt for you to go ahead and strengthen first. I would say any protein or henna(for conditioning) would be a plus followed by a moisturizer.. atleast this is what I would do.. JMO.

I would suggest doing anything other than henna. Becuase the henna may change the color of your hair and the weave and your hair may not end up being the same color.

Do you have any cassia or amla? Those would give you some good conditioning without the color.
