Beauty Mistakes That Turn Men Off

This is the first weave I've worn in years and I've been getting much more attention across all races. These same men complaining probably have stacks and stacks of booty mags with "Vixens" weaved down to the ankles. A good looking woman is a good looking woman no matter what. Do what makes you comfortable, confidence and a good personality overrides many other flaws.

haha. My dh has a strong dislike of weaves but I don't see him turning away in disgust when Gabrielle Union comes across the TV screen.

The best compliment I received from a man ever was 2 weeks ago is:

"I like dating you because you are very confident and comfortable within yourself."

whew! too bad I don't really like this guy. :lachen:

Sometimes I dress up, wear a little too much perfume, too little done with the 'do, nappy, nappier, dark chipped polish or perfectly manicured. Always something different and nothing is ever perfect. Being a recently single, working mom, I really neither have the time nor inclination to really care.

I think men notice confidence the most and the rest is, at best, gravy. At worst? Ignored.. lol.

Most men dont mind weave I think the fear is that the lady doesnt have her own healthy hair underneath the weave thats the real issue. Like if I were a guy and from the first date and beyond Id be wondering what her real hair looks like, why does she wear weave in the first place, and if ill ever see her real hair :look:.

Same with makeup....im sure the bright bold makeup isnt a big deal in a relationship but if you wear it like that on the first date, Id be wondering what you looked like without all the makeup (ie falsies, keyshia dior lips and bold shadows)....could be a pleasant or not so pleasant experience.

JMO...
