Hi Ladies, I feel so weird right now. I'm between crying and being happy about my hair. I was suppose to transition 2 yrs but I ended up only doing 10 months. I was so terrified when I went to school today because I didn't know how other people would react. Just to let u guys know I'm a senior in High School. My friends liked the new look but the boys at my school didn't, but they're not cute anyway lol. But the thing that got me the most is how my mom reacted, she hates it and told me I look horrible. She told me I'm such a beautiful girl and why in the world would I do something like that, people who do something like that hate themselves so they sabotage their looks. Then she asked if anythings wrong and I need to sit down to talk about whats going on. I hate the fact she thinks I'm crazy so I got up and left and told her I didn't wanna talk abt it. Here's some pics of my hair.
If there's any naturals out there with my texture, PLease let me kno so I can get a picture of what my hair will look like once it gets more length.

I think you have to be secure in yourself to do go natural at such a young age.
Keep ya head up. Your curls are pretty and I am sure that they are flattering on your face. At 40 I can tell you two things. 1) Boys/Men don't know WHAT they like. You make sure that you stay true to yourself and they WILL begin to see the the reflection of your beauty. As for your mom she will come around. i can remember tiffs my mom and I had about the way I dressed...etc. This too will pass...
, and my mom is anti-nappy hair. So when I did my bc after 10 months, like you did, I had earlength hair when pressed and EVERYBODY had a doggone comment. But, it's all good because my hair has grown back and surpassed theirs and it hasn't even been 3 years. Now they are calling me for tips
