I'm in braids and I use no leave-in when in braids (yeah I fell off the wagon of trying that essential oil blend on my scalp) so my baggy is done on just hair that is washed and DC'd often.

I am not an expert on best moisturizers, but I wanted to mention that when I was growing back my bald spots, jojoba and rosemary EO were part of my scalp treatment. But my focus when applying wasn't so much the hair, but the scalp. And yes, I slept in a plastic cap after applying the concoction.

I don't think there's any right or wrong product to use for baggying (well maybe a silicone product might itch if doing a full baggy). I think you just have to find what works for you. For some oils are the best moisturizers. For others creams. Yet for others it's some glycerin wet product. So you may just have to try and see. And only you can determine what is too strong (???) for your hair. Jojoba is closest in composition/texture to our own natural sebum. Rosemary EO is a great for scalp and hair. And EVOO is a wonderful oil for skin and hair. In other words, as long as you're using just a few drops of the EO and not making it 50% of the mixture, then strong just doesn't apply to the mixture. It might be heavy (some pple can't stand oils) but I wouldn't call it "strong".
