.... I failed...
i think i gave it the good ole college try, but the ayurvedic way just doesn't seem to be for me... everytime i opened my containers with my shikakai powder and my amla powder, i'd have violent sneezing fits... everytime i did a shikakai tea rinse, my scalp became sore and i got these weird bumps... and, worst of all, after a while my hair was shedding more and was VERY dry....
now i'm not going to lay this completely on those products - i'm going to say that, as a whole, i'm not doing well with "natural" or organic products... i'm not really getting along well with giovanni either... lol
so this morning, i went back what used to work for me... a cowash with Hemp Hydrating conditioner, using MnT Extra Moisturizing Conditioner and some Lacio Lacio as a leave-in/moisturizer and i sealed it with amla oil (ok - so that was new, but i never had a problem with the amla oil.. )... the result - hair that fought shrinkage, showed defined curls, had 75% less frizzies and continous moisture throughout the day all on its own.
moral of the story - i learned my lesson... i'm still gonna henna though... lol
