Question for you all..can henna or ayurveda products be used on hair that's already colored? I am also relaxed. I tried to find a post to answer this question, but couldn't find one. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:grin:

I started to use Henna in March of this year and at that time I was a honey blonde color. I didnt want to use bleach anymore so I did a henna treatment and it covered it very well. BAQ (body art quality) can be used over dyed hair.

Yes, they can. You just have to figure out how much color you want. The longer you dye release the henna and the longer you leave it on the head, the more color you'll get. So do you wanna cover up your old dye color?

In my experience, re;axed hair may take the color stronger than tnatural hair as its more porous. So deciding on color is more important for you if your hair is dyed lighter. However, that's very good news if you are using it for conditioning purposes.

Let us know more of what you hope to achieve.

Yes, you can put henna over already existing color. But you have to promise yourself that you will use henna to color your hair for a while. Once you put henna in, its harder on the hair cuticle to switch up the process and use regular dye again. You don't want to mess up your hair. If you do decide to use dye again, make sure that most of the henna is gone (this takes months) before using the dye again.

you sure can! henna will enhance whatever color you already have and make it deeper & reddish. i'm relaxed, i lift my color, and i henna as well.
