Hi,

This is not the way i wanted to make a debut however i conditioned my hair (4a/b) with avocado and i have rinsed it out i have white threads all over my hair!!!!!

I feel to cry as I have to go to work tomorrow and I dont know what to do!!!
Any ideas ideas are appreciated.....

ps:i already tried to comb it out under running water, combing it out with a conditioner.....:wallbash:

You may need to give additional details.

Did you try to use a shampoo to wash it out or a clarifier?
What else did you use with the avocado?
Can you add some pics so that we can understand what you mean by the white threads?
Hang in there I am sure someone has some answers for you.

I am just out of the shower (again).....

My scalp was itchy at work hence I knew that i needed a wash, I shampooed with head and shoulders and then deep conditioned with (avocado + honey+olive oil) I rinsed it after 1 hour 30 mins then conditioned....
On leaving the bathroom I noticed the threads, white at the ends of my hair.

I have 3 options cut off the ends....
Dont sleep, manually remove each thread....
Leave and go in to work as usual.

I cant find my phone cable hence I cant post a pic....

This happens to me all the time. Just rinse it out a few more times.
What ever is left just pick out with your hands, I usually find that once my hair is dried they fall out(or maybe i just cant see them anymore) they really dont bother me that much because i normally wear my hair twisted, but if its out i can see how this could bother you. btw please dont cut your hair, if you poo/cowash regularly they will be gone by the next one.

Hmmmm is it pieces of avocado? Did you blend it before you used it? I'm not really sure how to get it out. It may be easier to let it dry a bit so that the pieces aren't sticking to your hair as much. If I think of anything else I'll post.

Thanks everyone for all your replies, i waited for my hair to dry and i picked the visible threads(they are string like, quite small) out.

I will not be using this method again, on the plus side it did get me to post on this forum after lurking for years..........

I am off to bed, if anyone says anything to me tomorrow at work, I will just say that It is an experiment gone terribly wrong.
