I got mine from camdengrey.com and I agree with the op, it is off the hook.

camellia.....your hair is so lovely in your avatar.

I agree with Pokahontas, your hair is gorgeous camellia.:)

Anyways, I've been wanting to try avocado butter for a while but now after hearing everyones opinions on it I think I'm going order some.

All of you are wicked, wicked enablers. :naughty:

How do you use avocado butter? Is it good for braidouts?

Yes, actually... I'm rocking my avocado butter braidout as we speak  It's really easy to apply... after I wash my hair, I take some avocado butter and rub it between my palms to melt it and then apply it to my still wet hair, focusing on the ends. My hair soaks it right up and it dries wonderfully moist with a nice shine to it! I find it a little harder to apply to dry hair since the consistency is so thick, but it's great for softening new growth! HTH!

I love avocado butter. I use it on my dry ends before pin curling my hair at night. I get mine from from nature with love.

I mix my avocado butter with jojoba oil. Melting them together. I use it for my hair and skin. Its the best oil moisturizer I ever tried for my hair! It makes the natural curls shiny and pop. ( I am a natural 4a).

im going to try it on my ends before i use the caruso rollers i let you guys know how it goes but i can tell to it does wonders for a saran wrap

FNWL always sends me gritty avocado butter. Someone on here said you have to melt the butter to make the grittiness go away. I still have my avocado butter but I haven't used in a few months. I really love aloe butter!

I am so surprised to hear this. I have gotten three containers of avocado butter from FNWL this year and they are all nice and creamy and smooth. I just got another today, actually and it is heavenly.

P.S. I also got my hemp seed butter. Now that is creamy and rich!! Can't wait to use it.

What do you use hemp seed butter for? I will order some next week the avocado butter but I might order the hemp seed butter as well I usually order a pound so as not to run out. I haven't even put adent in my red palm butter. which I love it removes all the tangles and knots for days at a time so its a keeper for me. I think I have two pounds of that.

The PJ in me couldn't resist :wallbash: ordering some Avocado butter and Hemp Seed butter....I really hope I love this stuff. :ohwell:

Please post a review. I keep coming in this thread being tempted to try out the avocado butter. I'm also tempted try hemp seed butter.

Wow, so I think I am the only one not impressed with the avocado butter. I have tried it 3 times and each time it seemed to coat my hair and just sit there. (Yes, I even clarified again to give it another go) I did it with a braid out and it was okay until my hair completely dried. Then it was just a mess.

Avocado butter didn't do anything special for me. I will not order it again.:nono:

I just got my order in the mail today! I already opened the avocado butter, it's nice and creamy, :lick: not gritty at all. :nono: I do believe my daughter's and my hair will  this stuff. :drunk: After I try it and the hemp seed butter then I will report back to this thread.

Maybe not, my first try was a bust on dry hair. I'll try it after a wash. I also ordered from Organic Creations.

Here's my review:

 Hit: Hemp Seed Butter.....that stuff is AMAZING!!! My pincurls looked fantastic when I use it....I'll definitely be re-purchasing!! :yep: A butter with that consistency is EXACTLY what I've been looking for!!!!

:ohwell: On the fence: Avocado Butter, my wet hair doesn't like it at all :nono: my flatironed hair likes it but it seemed a bit oily :perplexed I'm going to try it on my daughter's hair and see if it works for her.

 Misses: None at the moment, but if I can't get the Avocado Butter to work for me soon.....

I recently ordered some avocado butter because of this thread -- it's one of my new staple products now! I love it.

I recently also ordered some avocado butter from Organic Creations. I got mine in the mail about two weeks ago.

MY HAIR IS IN LOVE WITH THIS STUFF! I have used it on my damp hair (not completely wet, but towel-dried hair), and it just MELTS into my hair like....BUTTA!

I really needed something like this to give my natural hair a really soft, moisturized, LUSH feel. I am thinking that this would also be good for the ends of my hair.

I do not think I would try it when pressing my hair, though. If for no other reason, because my presses come out best when only a TEENY TINY amount of ONE product (no more than that) is used on my hair, and it has to be a very light product at that (heat protectant and/or serum type of product).

Anyways, I can tell this will be a staple of mine for a while.

My recent purchases of :

GIOVANNI DIRECT + AVOCADO BUTTER =

SOFT, SUPERMOISTURIZED HAIR!!!

I love it! :grin::lachen:

I've been using it now for 3 weeks. Fantastic results! Shine, shine, shine. I use it to seal in my moisturizer on the ends. A little goes a long way. I'm very satisfied. Thanks for suggesting this CandyC.

Thanks EM ! :yep:
Doesn't look like I'll be purchasing that Avocado butter.. too many mixed reviews that lead me to believe that's it's on the oily side... :nono:
