My friend, who is natural, used this on her hair. She stayed at a friend's house and left her hair supplies at home. Since going natural, her hair has always been dry and straw like. I believe her hair type is 4b. Anyway, to make a long post short, her hair is so soft and smooth after using this. She puts it on as if it's a hair leave-in conditioner, then air dries. It's not shinny afterward, but serum takes care of that. I want to try this, her hair felt like-ahhh. lol
