I discovered yesterday that there's an Aveda teaching salon in west LA near UCLA - has anybody ever gone? What have been your experiences with teaching salons in general? I think I need a treat for my birthday.

I think there was an Aveda teaching salon in Woodland Hills years ago and I was surprised that the prices were NOT cheap. It was like going to your regular stylist. Nothing like going to a school of beauty where everything is much cheaper. But the students are willing to try new hair styles and colors so if you are looking for a new look it is a fun and great idea!

Thank you. I tired to book an appointment for tomorrow - I have an appointment for next Saturday instead as it's the first available. I'm looking forward to it and will post a review when I return.
