Wow. I tried Elixir last year and hated it.

And I just recently jumped on the Aveda Nourishing Concentrate pre-poo and hated it too (and tried it 3 times in diff ways just to be sure).

Weird, I don't know why Aveda doesn't agree with me. I really wanted to like it because I'm trying to lean toward more natural ingredients.

I like their philosophy, just not their effect on my hair.

It is a leave-in conditoner that makes my hair soft and easy to come through!! As far as the Sap moss Concentrate I like that product as well!!! I put on the hair prior to washing it and let it sit on for a while then wash and for the second wash I just add it to the shampoo!!

Elixer is the TRUTH!!! I love it too!!!

I also  Sap Moss Nourishing Concentrate pre-poo.

I love both of these.

Allandra....Mine doesn't really have a outstanding smell. Maybe they changed the formula.

It wasn't a 'loud' smell. It was just a smell that I didn't like.

Some products that I've bought (not just Aveda) have an almost rancid smell (something like urea). I assume that's probably a product that has been on the shelf for some time. I make it a point to only buy Aveda products from the Aveda store so that it can be returned/exchanged. The smell of Aveda products shouldn't be anything unpleasant...if it is, it's probably old.

I only purchase Aveda products from Aveda stores or from Aveda.Com. The smell was not rancid. I just didn't like the smell of the Elixir.

Does the Elixer leave-in detangle also?

Isis - I didn't really find the Elixir detangling but I do like it. It's really just a leave-in conditioner. Actually, the lady at the Aveda store told me that it can be mixed with gel or whatever styling product you use. I use it alone but I also add my other leave-ins to my hair as well. Hope this helps.

I just purchased the DR Remedy set. Those of you who use it, do you alternate with other shampoos & conditioners or is it your main staple ?

I might try that. :D I bought the entire sap moss line and i wasnt extremely impressed. The 2nd time I used the pre-poo concentrate i mixed it with EVOO and it worked better to my liking. I really only like the products to mix with other products, however, the conditioner is great for detangling hair:lol:

I started using this line on November 26. I plan on using it as my main line for now.

Thank you Nycutiiepie. I'll have to think about this.
