There was an Aveda Tips thread on here and I'm too lazy to go back and find the individual who gave the wonderful tip, but thanks!
Someone suggested using the Brilliant conditioner as a leave-in. I tried it this morning - I diluted about a tablespoon of the conditioner into a spray bottle with 5 ounces of water. I sprayed my hair section by section and the results were jaw-dropping.
I'm transitioning and I'm a 4a/3c, so a-lot of my hair will curl but it will stick up and out even with a leave-in. However, this made my hair lay down and gave it great shine. I was able to comb right through from root to tip and those of you who are natural or transitioning know how hard that can be. I may have to abandon my Biolage for this.
I pulled it back in a bun and got nice shiny waves without having to put any curl activator in. I still noticed some fuzz, kind of like a halo on my head so that hasn't been eliminated, but it looks nice and feels soft to the touch. I'll just have to work on those fly-aways.
