EnExitStageLeft and Beamodel you done spoil your hair with all that handmade stuff, lol. I still have some joico mrb and kerastase masquintense and nutrithermique in my stash. I loved them before I jumped on the handmade products bandwagon. They better still work well on me cause I ain't giving them up just yet.

I hope your old school ones work for you as well. I read so many great reviews about Nairobi but I guess the cone made my hair say NO!!!!! I'm going to DC tonight with something handmade/cone free

IDareT'sHair
Yes girl spoiled and picky hair lol.

Well if they don't I will be ok. My hair has never been that healthy, and I have only been using the handmade stuff exclusively since the beginning of the year. I have been wanting to revisit my salon brand products to compare the results, but: if it ain't broke don't fix it. I am saving all cones for flat ironing days.

I don't know what took me so long to do this:

Transferring my KCCC into an old bottle then swapping the label. VOILA! Makes for easier dispensing. Now I can use the old jars for my shea mixes. WIN WIN!!

- Curl Junkie Smoothing Lotion <---STAPLE! This has slip like nobody's business.

Hit:
- Grapeseed Oil - I have been mixing it in anything that is too thick
- Karen's Body Beautiful Sweet Ambrosia Leave-in - This reminds me of CJ Smoothing Lotion

Miss:
- Jane Carter Wrap & Roll
- Carol's Daughter's Mimosa Hair Honey - Did this always have corn oil as the first ingredient? I used to love this stuff when I was younger and relaxed, but no longer. I took it right back to Macy's.

Hmp. Gurl.......:ohwell: *sucks teef*.

Tell me about the JC Wrap & Roll. I got it for $5.00 when this Natural Store was going out of business. Why was it a miss?:perplexed

Continued HIT
Oyin Hair Dew (pumps fist)

HIT
Diluted Oyin Hair Dew & Diluted SCurl mixed together with water in a spray bottle. I hate SCurl on its own (too much glycerin) but this formulation worked well for my hair!

First Impression Neutral: Bee Mine Deja Hair Milk

The good: nice consistency and slip going on hair, hair drying very soft - softer than with the Bee Mine Luscious, like the coconut cream scent

The bad: reacted with my slick-back gel, very light consistency - not thick enough for what I need it for, does not sink into my hair well, does not give me lasting moisture.

Verdict: will enjoy using it up, but not a staple and will only repurchase on a whim in the future. I have things that work better for me.

BIG hit:
Alba Botanica® Hawaiian Hair Wash Cocoa Butter Dry Repair
Alba Botanica® Hawaiian Hair Conditioner Cocoa Butter

I used to use Alba as a leave-in a long time ago....I think it was discontinued so i didn't look any further. But I just bought these on a whim and they are excellent. Part of my staples kit. They are affordable with great ingredients. I can use the hairwash twice a week and it doesn't dry it out horribly. I use the conditioner as a leave in and seal my ends with oil and it is working out really nicely. Between these, silk elements and my haircut (from wsl to bsl) I'm loving my hair again.

Purabody Sapote : Nicely moisturizes my dry hair

Hydroquench Go Deep: Great for detangling

On the Fence
I will have to try this a few more times. But so far it is not a hit.
