At the salon ... Bye Bye Ends (PICS ADDED)

I am under the dryer now. The tree braids were great but the length was too short for my hair. My ends have really suffered. I will post pics later

grab a mirror STAT watch that stylist as he or she cuts!

I would hate this thread to turn into a scissor happystylist-induced setback thread...with that said cant wait to see your hair later!

Ok got the pics not sure how to up load them from the phone. It's not bad. The top was the worst. My stylist is cool. She laughed at me for taking the pics. I was the first client at her new place off S. Rainbow drive in
Decatur ..

The easiest way to add pics is to add them as an attachment to a post. Just follow the prompts. You can't do it through a quick reply. You have to "go advanced"

Re: At the salon ... Bye Bye Ends (PICS ADDED) SIGH.....

Hey Ladies,
I had to come home and take a nap...(sigh). It didn't look like a lot on the floor I guess because it was so chopped at the ends... It's short.
It's not her fault. She asked if I wanted to gradually cut it, or cut it to the healthy part. I told her to cut it to the healthy part.(sigh)
I lost a lot of progress, but I know it will grow back. I will stay on my mega-tek with boundless tresses, henna, and protective styles. If i should ever venture again to tree braids, they will definitely be longer. But that's not going to happen again for a long long time......:nono:
Here's the pics. The one in the pink was taken yesterday. Those ends are horrid.....

Sorry for your loss...but your length will be back sooner than you think:yep:. I lost two inches in September due a similar thing (braids not braided past my hair, and I used synthetic instead of human hair:nono: My ends went to hell). My hair is now pretty much back where it was before my setback. hang in there, and keep it growin'!

Your hair looks nice and healthy though so no worries. How long was your tree braids? YOu didn't notice that they were too short until you took the hair out?

I did. I think I posted my concerns in my first email when I got the braids. Oh well. Live and learn. I think I will get me a phony pony and wear it in a bun to keep the ends protected. But.... I am bummed...:ohwell:

OP don't be to hard on yourself, things happen, it's all a learning process. I wouldn't dewell on it to much, you still have a whole year to make new progress. HHG
