thanks for that link it was a good read. however, i wish people and the media would stop saying that going back to their natural hair and curls as being 'in' and trendy. for some it is about accepting with they were born with and to stop conforming to a beauty standard.

okay off my soapbox.

well, the model's hair is very curly - when i think of the word kinky, i think of nappy, YKWIM?

"Cutting off an inch or two every six weeks keeps hair healthy. No matter how gentle you are with hair, the tips get brittle. Trimming is a smart move, not a sacrifice."

If I followed that advice, I'd be bald! How fast does this lady's hair grow that she can afford to lop off 2 inches every 6 weeks?

lol thats rite cannuck and i was hopin for some hair care for proper natural super afro kinda hair

Thanks I found it helpful dispite the fact that it was geared towards ladies with a looser curl. It sees that curl hair of any sort just take a bit of work and a little extra love.

I also found it helpful...
Does anyone know what is the benefit of rinsing the hair with club soda after the beach or swimming?

i think the article was all over pretty good, however, i am getting very tired of people saying that straight hair is boring or that you are a boring person if you have straight hair. that is BS imo. you should be able to wear your hair however you want to and experiment with different styles. why are they always stereotyping????

That's a good article with some good tips. I'm glad more people are wearing kinky styles now.
