ArmyQT? still hennaing your daughter\'s Hair?

I had asked this some time ago and never heard from you. I am still curious how her hair is turning out. Thank you for replying. Bonjour and happy hair growing to you both

Hi Mahalialee

. Actually, I only did about three henna applications and stopped. No particular reason. I really didn't notice anything spectacular enough to keep it doing it. Now I find that S-Curl and EVOO works wonders on softening her hair and making it really manageable. I will probably do another henna treatment again and see how it turns out. I really wanna try the coconut/lime mixture though. Thanks for checking in on us

Re: ArmyQT? still hennaing your daughter\'s Hair?

Hi! Just wanted to ask what you or anyone else does for their daughter's hair. I tried the henna which she hated, and am looking for other ideas to try. Currently, we wash, condition, oil, and braid or twist. Her hair is all natural. Have any ideas, suggestions?!! Thanks!!

I basically do the same thing. For me, it's all about the products I used. I just started using the Jilbere shower comb on her hair. It is amazing when it comes to detangling. Other than than that I use CON shampoo, Pantene conditioner, coconut oil, EVOO and S Curl. That's it. Those products provide lots of moisture and makes her hair really manageable.

Thanks for the reply! Which Pantene conditioner? Smooth and Sleek? Hydrating curls????

I use the smooth and SLeek. I have the Hydrating CUrls but I haven't tried it yet.

Re: ArmyQT? still hennaing your daughter\'s Hair?

A friend from this board suggested henna to me. I like it alot. There is a difference. If I don't do it my hair gets tangled more. With Henna the curls are not as tight and it detangles nicely. It is a keper for me.

It also makes my braid outs look smoother.

Re: ArmyQT? still hennaing your daughter\'s Hair?

My daughter's hair is natural and it is lovely I use honey, evoo, amla oil mixed together as a hot oil treatment after I shampoo about every two weeks or as needed. I also use a natural shampoo which I make. Oh and I never comb her hair without a seamless comb. It's down her back but you can't tell(shrinkage)unless I straighten it which I have no desire to do. I'm going to start teaching her alot of my old-fashioned hair techniques it's never too early to start teaching your children how to care for their hair and themselves.
