my hair flies in te summer so I am going to be in and out of braids to retain my length .

YES! I can't wait! My hair is so moist and yummy in the summer & it lets it self breathe & grow.

Why do I feel like my hair growth slows down during the summer? My hair seems to barely grow during summer. What are you ladies doing? Washing more often?

I don't/didn't do anything - I think it's just my biological reaction to the change in seasons (I thrive, both mentally and physically, in warm/downright hot weather). Not everyone's body runs on that same sort of clock, though.... :yep:

I dunno about 'expecting' :look:, but I am hoping for a summer spurt.

Yes, I'm expecting a summer growth spurt. My hair won't be so dry; and I won't have to worry about harsh winds, hats, or scarves drying it out.

But I gave my hair an ultimatum: If it's not full APL by September, I'm cutting to a cute ear length bob. :wink2:

To funny:lachen:but yes I'm praying for another growth spurt this summer.

Hellz yeah, growth is key! Spurts are even better (wow that sounds sexual)....That much closer to my goal.

Everyone keeps asking me about pregnancy growth but I cannot really tell if that's what this is.

Sometimes pregnancy growth comes after the baby. Some folx dont get it at all.

Im hoping for a summer spurt (to put me at APL finally.)

I'm expecting a growth spurt because these tresses will be braided, corn rowed and twisted ALL SUMMER!

yuppers. i usually get great growth from april- aug or sept.

I'm definitely expecting a spurt especially since I'll be protective styling until Christmas.

Yes, because my hair usually grows faster in the summer.

Sure nuff counting on it or I'm screwed :perplexed

That's the only real time of the year my slow growing hair actually seems to do something...

Waiting for the long stretch of warm days...to get my Sylver method on and see if it works for me this summer too..:yep:

I think so, too, so I voted yes; I am down south and the humidity and heat is hair growth-friendly!

If I don't get a spurt this summer, I 'm gonna have a smashing cut in the fall:ohwell::ohwell:

Patience is a virtue. I don't have it!!!!

HELL YEA IM EXPECTING ONE! Shoot and it better herrrr up too ! chopchop!

i dont know. i just got on this taking care of my hair thing. i am apl so hopefully by the end of this year i will be pushing bra strap. by the end of summer i atleast want to be grazing bsl:drunk:.
im gonna start working out too so maybe that will help

I hope so! I've learned a lot since I joined the forum. I believe that the growth aids, with the summer heat/humidity and the wonderful information that I have received; I can expect not only growth but retaining length as well.

Yes I am. I am on a 12 week plan as of today. Q

Q, when you say 12 week plan, do you mean a 12 week stretch? and if so, what are you going to do to handle the ng doing the stretch. I'm currently 9 weeks post and shooting for 12 weeks for the humpteenth time:rolleyes: but I'm doing it this time :yep: because these warmer months are always generous to me:grin:

I'm hoping so. I'd really like to hit bsl and possibly mbl this year, and then get a good trim around the new year.
