:scratchch I have Juices & Berries on the way and I will be buying CD's Black Vanilla leave in this week...
yea i really like this mix. and i must say, when i was relaxed i didnt like the cd leave in. it didnt seem to do anything for me it was very blah. but now that im natural, aven before i made the mix, the black vanilla leave in worked great to moisturize my hair. i love it. the juices and berries was ok but i doubt i will buy again. it was just ok for me.

Huge hit: Elucence Mosture Balanced conditioner. I just co washed with it and my hair has NEVER felt so amazing. I love it. Does anyone deep condition with it?

Hit: The Body Shop Honey Moisturizing Conditioner.....had this little sample bottle under the sink for a while and finally got around to DCing with it today. Used for 20 min with heat. LOVE! Definitely going to get a full size bottle. My hair is SOO soft :)

Hits: Hair One Hair Cleanser and Conditioner (olive oil)

I'm actually wondering why some people didn't like this. I know what works for some may not works for others.

When applying this as my DC, I notice my hair melt and was soft and supple.....u know kinda like when applying Kenra MC or GVP Conditioning Balm. I'm so loving this 3 in 1 product. Also it made my scalp tingle which is a plus.
now I can actually buy the bottle instead of the sample pack. (Yes Sally's now have these in sample packs):)

Hit:

Yes to Carrots Mud Mask!! This was on sale at Target for less than 10. Great product, gave my culrs low frizz, softness and big clumpy curls!!

Miss/Near Miss - Yes to Carrots Conditioner - This was okay, but too light for my hair. Maybe it would work better on relaxed hair. I prefer something heavy on my hair. I plan to co wash with it. It's very nice as lotion on your skin too!!

Hits: Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid-- light, non greasy, fragrant and makes my hair smooth, shiny and protects it from the heat.

Now I know is a Miss:

Aphogee Green Tea and Keratin Spray-- ugh. It makes my hair kinda crispy and harder to manage....almost dry and a little hard. :nono:

Hit-Lustra Silk Shea butter conditioner

Miss- attempting a pin curl hairstyle :( plus flat ironing on damp hair. My hair looks fried now. Back to my Aphogee to repair the damage.

Hits
Infusium Repairology Leave in
Aphogee Green Tea & Keratin
Finally doing the BIG CHOP

Misses
Giving myself the big chop. (went too short & it's not the most even cut I have. Thank goodness for wigs).
Eve Lace Front Wig. (maybe I have a big head, but this thing doesn't cover my sides at all).

Hit: aphogee green tea
John frieda frizz ease dream curls

On the fence: joico split end mender- my ends feel crunchy, I swear if they break off....
Ok so it blended in and got soft out of nowhere, I dont think it's a mender more like a protecter but my ends feel nice. It's still on the fence. lol

Big Fat 0:

Miss Jessie's Creme de la Curl shampoo
Miss Jessie's Creme de la Creme conditioner :fishslap:

Not even a wee bit impressed w/either product. At first application, it SMELLED artificial and synthetic. These products made my hair dry in a big frizzy, puffy mess and felt kind of hard too as soon as I got out of the shower :nono:How was my hair dripping wet, but hard and dry at the same time??? I have a friend @ work that loves the stuff so I'm giving it to her, but these products just sealed my fate w/Miss Jessie's. I officially hate EVERYTHING this company makes. BLECH.

ETA: After that glowing review, forgot my hit(s):

Ayurvedic HOT mix- Amla, brahmi, shikakai, bhringraj, rosemary eo, lavender eo :lick: my hair LOVES this mix. I heat up the applicator bottle in a bowl of hot tap water and apply the warm oil to my scalp then scritch/massage :dizzy: Leave in for a few hours-overnight then wash out. If you know your hair dosha, this is a great mix for Vata/Pitta types.

Elucence MB Conditioner to cowash, followed by HE Totally Twisted conditioner as a leave in :yep: Great curl definition, moisture, softness and bounce! this combo is a keeper! I seal w/Vatika & JBCO/Almond oil and KIM. LOVES it!

HITS: CW with VO5's Tea therapy line. Sealing w/ Coconut Oil- VERY SIMPLE

MISS: Elasta QP DPR-11 Deep Condish. YUCK! That stuff does absoulutely nothin for my hair.It just sits there! I had to really doctor it up good w/ some oils and honey just to make it acceptable!

Ditto on that one! Ive never tried juices and berries, but I did try CDBV and I did NOT like that at all. It felt like I was spraying some smell good water on my hair! I was reading the ingredients and it seems like I could make that leave-in myself ( A BETTER VERSION) with some teas like nettle, glycerin, castor oil, water an maybe some aloe vera juice or gel! Experiment anyone?

Ok. So, have you tried any of the Jason's, Abba, Beauty Without Cruelty, Giovanni or the Aubrey Organics?

I LOVE Aubrey organics. Honeysuckle Rose is one of the best conditioners I have ever tried! I also tried the White Camella one and the Desert Herb but those did not compare to AOHSR.

I really wanted to try ABBA but it has parabans and other un-natural ingredients.

I was looking at Giovanni too, but I believe the reason I didn't try the products was because of un-natural ingredients as well.

Hits:
Smooth N Shine Silk Fusion Critical Repair Conditioner
Garnier Strength and Repair Mask
Garnier Length and Strength Shampoo
Aphogee Two Min Reconstructor (Before neutralizing relaxer and as prepoo on wash days)
GVP Silk Infusion

Misses:
John Frieda Secret Weapon (leaves hair hard and dry)
ORS Lye Relaxer (This is my second time using this relaxer and I think it is causing thinning. I think I'm going back to Revlon Realistic.)

I found the same thing happened to me (to the bolded). I used it twice, and both times it burned me something terrible, and after the second use, I noticed that I had a heck of alot of shedding, with this relaxer I went back to my trusty no lye Precise.

hit: OHM sweet hair pudding. that stuff is amazing. its all natural, smells delish and goes on thick and nice and smooth. the moisturizing effect is amazing concidering its supposed to be like a gel.

Hit: DCing overnight with LeKair Cholesterol PLUS mixed with honey, EVOO, Kemi Oyl, and Castor Oil.
Followed that up with 5 minutes of Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor
Used Nexxus Phyto Organix Humectin as a leave in

OH EM GEE! My hair is sooooo soft right now and it's airdried! Think I just found my new summer routine.

ETA: Just remembered it's May now. Time for a new thread!
