leaving Joico Moisture Recovery Balm on for over an hour (1.5 to 2) with a shower cap and a little Positive Link. My hair comes out so silky, moisturized, and detangled!!!

Everything else is same ole same ole. Nothing new lately. I might try something new from Komaza this month. Trying to stick to my favs. :yep:

I did not like that organix shampoo either. It did not tangle my hair, but it made myhair feel brittle. I was so disappointed in that mess. I think it was the coconut one.

CONTINUED HIT:

The Global Goddess oil I got during the Amerimark BumRush!

I am loving that oil.

Oooh! You mean that oil you got jacked in the pockets for?!

It is lovely, ain't it?

*product jack hi-five*

Hit-V05 Moisture Milks in Strawberries & Cream. Wow is all I can say. This is one of my favorite products so far.

Miss-Elasta QP Creme Shampoo. It was like washing my hair with wax, my hair felt so coated.

I didn't care for that poo either. :nono:

MISS:
organix shampoos...sulfate free but still tangle my hair. i tried to make it work.

The Organix poos didn't work for me either, left my hair feeling stripped. Kinda harsh for a sulfate free one.

Revisited hit:
HE LTR conditioner: I've fallen back in love with this stuff. I like conditioners that are moisturizing, inexpensive, and available in a large size. This fits the bill nicely.

Miss:
Using ORS Replenishing on damp hair. I normally use this on dry hair as a DC, but since I was clariying last wash and wanted to use this before I relax, it didn't work so great in the shower on damp hair. I had to use a TON of it and my hair was kinda tangled too.

Elucence MB is really great as a leave in/detangler! I wasn't a big fan of it as a DC, but really feeling it as a leave in :) Rusk smoother is great too...

No hits so far this month :ohwell:

Misses:
Aphogee Shampoo for Damaged Hair- Made my hair so hard and stiff

La Plancha Deep Heat Reconstructor- No moisture, softness, slip, shine, nuffin. Just useless

Huge hits- Hydratherma naturals growth lotion. The smell is just:lick: like you want to eat it. It does what it says its a bomb moisturizer. And the thing for me that really makes it a hit is the amount i have to use for it to work. A pinch more than a dime, for my whole head. Let me work with this for a while longer and if it keeps doing, what its doing. this will be my staple moisturizer period.

Hydratherma naturals growth oil- Again the smell:lick:, like a butter scotch or butter cream. This oil is really thick. A few drops like it says on the bottle is all you need. This has already made it to staple oil. Both the lotion and the oil together are too heavy for me, but each one alone with nothing else, my hair is loving them.

Hit
ChI Iron Guard-used along with the silk infusion and my hair turn out great

Revisited Hit
Bary Fletcher Liquid Moisture oil-forgot how great this product works

miss: elasta qp shampoo for relaxed hair ummm what is this for? it did nothing lol
it works good to remove oil stains from my driveway though lol

Continued hits:

Lustrasilk cholesterol plus w/shea and mango
wen fig cleansing conditioner
sitrinillah deep condtioner

Newest hit:
henna leftover mixed with cassia and conditioner
V05 Blackberry Sage conditioner

Hit - Hask Curly Burly Conditioner - gives excellent curl definition and soft shiny hair. I t has been discontinued so I went back and bought 2 more bottles

Hit - Lustrasilk Shea Butter Cholesterol - It's as good as my Bumble and Bumble Super Rich Conditioner but only $2 a bottle. I love this stuff!! Moisturizing and lots of slip!!

Miss - Hair One Olive Oil Cleansing Conditioner - I had high hopes for this one but it made my curls feel flat and coated. I'd rather used my $.99 VO5 Strawberries and Cream to Cowash or use CON shampoo than spend $10 on a 12 oz bottle. Not sure if I'm going to bother trying Wen at this point.....

HITS:

-Qhemet Biologics Amla & Olive Heavy Cream...i see what all the fuss is about. Works great on fresh relaxed hair. As i rollerset, i put a DAB of this on EACH section of my hair while prepping to place on roller.

I noticed that i get less frizzies on my set and I can go the whole week without having to moisturize or oil the length of my hair...Hope it works as well when i stretch.

-Qhemet Biologics Tea Tree & Grapeseed Pomade...Love my grease and nice to know it helps with dry scalp/dandruff. Smells medicinal but still spreads easily..Not greasy yet gives subtle shine when i run my comb through scalp to distribute.

-Herbal Essence's Breaks Over Leave-In..got this on clearance at Target MONTHS ago and rarely used it. Trying to use up stuff and got this out..Smells good/cheap/decent ingredients and I noticed after using it twice, i didnt lose at much hair detangling while rollersetting.

-Keracare Oil Sheen w/ Humidy Block..Bought this over 18 months ago, then researched this forum, realized Mineral oil was bad, and stuck it away..I dont like to waste stuff so i bought it back out to use on my half wigs. I like it again. Gotta use it sparingly.

-Eden Bodyworks Tea Tree & Peppermint Conditioner...I LOVE this conditioner...good ingredients, cheap(found at walmart) and love the tingle on my scalp..Slip is okay but i gotta try it more when i stretch. I used this for a good few washes after my relaxer since i'm more prone to dry scalp/dandruff. Love how my scalp feels "open" when i use it.

-The Body Shop Honey Moisturizing Conditioner-I picked up a couple sample sizes to try. Penetrated my hair, smells decent and its nice and creamy...almost had to cut that bottle to get all of it out...I'd buy the full bottle probably. Feels good applying to hair.

MISS:

-The Olive Oil & The Shea Butter Lustrasilk Cholestoral...should've known it was garbage cause i only paid $3 for it. No slip, no reaction, just sits there..even on my freshly relaxed hair, it just sat there..

On the Fence:

-Bee Mine Growth Serum...Using it on my left edges. I apply 1-2 times ONLY to that little section. WAY too greasy to apply to whole scalp. It doesnt smell bad but i can still smell the sulfur content...I hope to see some kind of progress.

New Hit: ORS Replenishing Conditioner

Miss: some Dark and Lovely moistuizer, made my hair dry as hell!!!

my local walmart has started carrying giovanni products and other organic/natural products
HIT
Giovanni Vitapro fusion leave in

I love it, it's a great moisturizer but $8 for 5 ounces, I probably have to stick with my $3 braid spray. But it's nice to know that I know have giovanni products within a 5 mile radius

HITS
1. Organic Coconut Oil
2. Givoanni Direct Leave In
3. HE 'It's a Curl Thing' (I love it as much as Hello Hydration, if not more) - it's good for rinsing out my DC's, mixing in my moisturising spritz and sometimes for cowashes.
4. Shea/Aloe/Coconut Oil/Castor Oil mix as my moisturiser

MISSES
1. Keracare Humecto - Love affair is OVER :-( It just doesn't detangle like it used to so I'm on the lookout for a new moisturising DC.
2. Keracare Dry and Itchy Scalp - does absolutely NOTHING for my hair. Will use this or Humecto for Henna Glosses.
3. Nexxus Aloe Rid - getting RID of it

Hit:Sally's Version Of Paul Mitchell Leave in Conditioner
Fantasia (hair Polisher Daily hair treatment

hit: curls milkshake. i think i like this better than the whipped cream because its so much lighter. the whipped cream may be used as a moisturizer on second day hair when it gets longer. but the milkshake is almost perfect for my wash and goes now. it doesnt dry hard and it seems to give me good curl definition.

new/continued hit:carols daughte hair balm. i used to love this stuff when i was relaxed. it held in the moisture and gave great shine. i used it today for the first time on my natural hair and i like it. it doesnt give good shine like on my relaxed hair but it kept my hair from drying hard. i only used a little bit for fear of it turning greasy but next time i will use more.

Hit: Tresemme Touchable Curls Hair Milk - this was actually something I had left over in my PJ closet. When I took my weave out and decided to try braid out I started experimenting. This cream/serum gives soft hold, has a pleasant scent, and gives me great definition. :yep: It comes in a small pump bottle for $4.99 a piece.

Using VO5 .99 moisture milk conditioner as a leave in - softens, great texture, smells yummy, easy to dilute and cheeeeeap.

Braidouts! The only downside is the uninvited petting :ohwell:

On the Fence: Macadamia Nut Oil. I had tried it before by adding it to conditioner and didn't see a difference. Recently I used it to seal damp hair after using my conditioner as a leave in and my hair was very soft and VERY shiny. The downside is it doesn't seem to absorb fully, so hair is still oily to the touch. I'll try adjusting the amount I use and see how it goes.

CONTINUED HIT:

The Global Goddess oil I got during the Amerimark BumRush!

I am loving that oil.

AGREED! I still love this oil! It works awesome for me! (I am still on bottle one of my 6 bottle purchase). So far it is my best value purchase of the year!!!

I have a hit!! Rollersetting with mesh rollers!!! I can rollerset faster because the mesh is kinda like rubber or something, so they 'stick' to your hair and makes it easier to get the rollers tighter faster. It usually takes 1 1/2 hours to dry a rollerset with magnetics, with mesh, it took 45 mins!

Miss- Aquage Healing Conditioner left my hair tangled and dry :nono:

On the fence- Silky Milk. I used this to rollerset and it takes some getting used to because it foams on your hair. It didn't give me any slip while rollersetting, but my hair turned out smooth and light. Not much moisture, though.
