Apply Surge with Fingers???

Does anyone apply surge with their fingers like they would apply grease or oil to their scalp?

I'm thinking of using this method. I don't want my texturized hair to revert so I can't get too much water-based liquid on my hair.

Has anyone done this with good results? And is the buildup really that bad if I don't wash very frequently?

well, when i used it i would spray my scalp and then massage it in. Worked like a charm /images/graemlins/smile.gif
Oh no buildup and i do believe i retained at least an inch b/c my hair is the same length it was B4 the stupid /images/graemlins/censored.gif cut it in late june.

i pour some in my hands and then massage into my scalp if I'm not wearing braid extensions (when i am then i just spray it onto my scalp). I don't have any buildup, but that could be due to the fact that I CO wash everyday. as for the reversion, I've been transitioning since April so I can't avoid that.
