Anyone use acv rinse as a shampoo and it doesnt retangle your just detangled hair?

She makes me want to revisit acv rinses!

Now some claim that after deep conditioning it seals in the moisture and all that nice sounding stuff (blah, blah, lol) , but for me it always seems like it reversed my conditioning section and it felt actually clean after rinsing it after a deep conditioner . But lately I have been complaining of detangling before washing and getting in the shower and when I shampoo, it just tangles up my new growth again like I never detangled before getting in smh. No mater if it's a moisturizing shampoo or not. Even with a cleansing conditioner it does the same thing (as I am coconut cowash). So I was thinking since acv cleanses my hair anyway, shouldn't I just use it as a shampoo anyway and then deep condition after? But even though it is said to clarify the hair and it being all natural and not harming the hair like clarifying shampoos with sulfates, I can not bring myself to trust it to clarify my hair after a relaxer. Anyone use this after a relaxer and uses it in place of a clarifying and cheating shampoo?

I used it after a relaxer twice. I loved it! Totally neutralized my hair and removed last traces of relaxer.

That's great, I'm trying to get rid of shampoos period. It's doesn't matter what kind, it just tangles my new growth, I could imagine if I was natural

@havilland....how did you use it after a relaxer? I would love to try it afterwards.

first time i used the neutralizing shampoo, then deep conditioned, then acv final rinse.

second time i used neutralizing shampoo, then protein condish, then acv rinse, then moisture condish.

both times worked great but i loved doing a protein before the acv the best.

I have used it after relaxing, but still neutralizer 'pooed it once.

I have also used it as a cleanser occasionally since being natural.
It helps to save my hair color...

I use it mixed w/water & SAA as a miosturizer b4 twisting at nite.
The ACV helps keep my scalp 'fresh'.

I don't get how this cleanses anything, lol. It doesn't remove buildup for me whatsoever, I'm left with the same gunk I had in the first place.

Baking soda on the other hand worked beautifully...but I don't use it because of the high pH and I don't pH swing (going from high to low or vice versa).

Lilmama1011 the tangles could be due to your wash motion, and not the product. Consider washing in loose braids, it'll keep the hair in place. I focus on my roots first, then undo a braid and run the cleanser through the length of the hair. The rubbing motion on my scalp tangles my hair terribly even if I wash in (unbraided) sections.

REALLY????

The ACV removes the 'greasy gunk'
and defines my curl pattern...:yep:

But my go-to cleanser is Baking soda-
even when I was relaxed.

My hair loves it, but my color does not.:nono::nono:

I haven't used 'poo in - forever!!

I always wash with baking soda and after I condition, I rinse with dilute ACV. I never have an issues with tangles on my lightly texlaxed hair.

:nono: I blame my mild scalp issues. I could literally keep my hair product-less and naked for a week and my scalp will still manage to become a gross nasty mess. IDGI.

I cleanse by mixing 8oz water and half ounce of shampoo in an applicator bottle. The mix has a low pH as does my leave-in and sealant, and I avoid taking the hair from high pH to low on a regular basis. I still use baking soda but as an exfoliator on my face.

im relaxed so don't know how i would keep it braided and i really think if i found a way, it would still tangle, the shampoo just dries my roots out
