What I've noticed is that when I take take it consistently say 2 weeks before hand I don't get any menstrual cramps or pains at all:grin:. I missed one month and man it was painful that first day.:wallbash:

I try to get 3tbsps in a day.

I will completely co-sign on this. I was shocked to find what I thought was gonna be a late period (because of no pms moodiness, bloating or cramps) was actually a normal period, without the uncomfortable side effects. It was only about 3 weeks I had been taking the oil.

I was taking evening primrose to help, which did at first but then stopped. I find coconut oil delicious, and it does cut down on my appetite quite a bit. I think I get about 2 tbs each day, mainly in the am either with my oat bran or coffee:yep:

Its funny you should say this. I usually go by these symptoms so I know when I'm due as well as my diary. I have been eating, adding it to hot drinks or cereals, about a tbsp of coconut oil at least 5 times a week for the last month. This month I didn't have any premenstrual symptoms or cramps and forgot, until I checked my diary! My skin and hair are also benefiting from eating coconut oil as well as applying it externally. To think I had a tub of it sitting in my fridge!

While Dr. Mercola suggests that coconut oil is better than olive oil, studies say that coconut oil has a lot of saturated fat which is not good for the heart. So I wouldn't be taking it internally. There are so many other wonderful oils (fish oils) that we can take. Flaxseeds are better than the Flax oils. Of course extra virgin olive oil in cooking, especially at low temperatures and expeller pressed canola oil is good. And untreated virgin palm oil from time to time.

Almond Eyes

Saturation is not the isssue. Coconut oil is made up of medium fatty chains and lauric acid. This is extremely health promoting for almost all body systems.
