Hi. I just wanted to know if anyone out there only relaxes/texturizes PART of your hair. I have a mix of textures ranging from 4b fine/coarse/cottony in front and sides and 4a/3c (or 3b, i dunno) at the crown and nape. I am thinking about a mild texturizer along the hairline in the front to make it a bit easier to comb.

Thanx for any advice or shared experiences!

The longest I went in between relaxers was 13 weeks, and during that time I relaxed my hairline twice, and I think it caused breakage and a little thinning. I'm not sure if it was because of that or the breads, so I'll just say be careful!

Yup! I texturized the bask and sides/front of my hair (4a-pen-sized curls), leaving the middle part (4a? 3c? 2c?-nnot curly, wavy, but like 2 or 3 waves per inch) because the middle (crown) section behaves pretty well and is uniform-small waves. I didn't want to ruin it. I did the others sections so they could be stretched like that section and hang like it.
I was somewhat successful I guess.
