Anyone here who've given up on Aruyvedic hair practices?

I've been consistent almost in spite of myself. I'm at a point where I don't even think about it anymore! My regular wash is with CON mixed with amla and shikakai, and I always add an ayurvedic oil to my deep conditioner. I just did an oil rinse this weekend with vatika oil :lick:, and I'll be trying a cassia gloss this weekend. My fave is still amla though; I lurves me some tightly coiled hair, so I'll do it when I'm going to wear my hair loose. Super curly and shiny hair :yep:.

I used a mixture of kalpi tone and coconut oil on my hair today. Let it sit for 1 hour, then rinsed it out. Afterwards, I used a little VO5 conditioner, then sealed with EVOO. I love using powders, but sometimes they're so hard to rinse out completely.

I never started....because I did not want to do all the prep work. I do think that there are benefits though since a coworker is using amla and other Indian products on her daughter (who is half Indian). The child is about 8 with healthy, thick hair down to her butt.

I'm too into it to quit. I am all about the preping mass quantities at one time, though. I usually make all my mixes in a weekend and they should last me for 1/4-1/2 a year. I make a date, put on some music, and mix while shaking my booty. :)

I reallly like this way of taking care of my hair. I have found mixing some of them with my conditioners and oils is a good way to go.

ALSO making teas has been the most convenient. I make sure to add some oils to preserve my tea or make just enough for a few days.

Teas are the best. I am now playing with fenugreek powder and I think I really like it!!! Still testing it out.
