Anybody's Hair Hate Hot Oil Treatments?

I did a hot oil treatment yesterday and my hair felt terrible! It was really rough feeling. I used .5 oz Bee Mine Sulfur-Free Serum, .5 oz Chi Silk Infusion (I know this isn't an oil but I know this isn't what caused the result, since I've used this in all kinds of steamer treatments and never had such bad results), 1.5 oz Nyle oil, 1.5 oz olive oil, 2 oz coconut oil, .5 oz sesame oil, and .5 oz soybean oil.
I don't know what happened but my hair felt disgusting and I'm not ever doing that again. Has anyone else experienced rough hair after a hot oil treatment?

naw.... can't say my hair hates it. What i can say is my hair feels a lot better when i use less oils. when i mixed olive, coconut, almond, rosemary and castor oil in my head for a hot oil treatment it was just heavy and nasty and i barely washed it out even though i shampooed a lot. when i did an oil treatment with just olive oil or with mostly olive and some coconut oil my hair came out great. my hair also likes it when i minimize these treatments to just once a month....

I tried it once or twice. Never liked it. I have fine hair and it seemed to just weigh it down. It's also way to hot for a hot oil treatment.

Good suggestion. Thanks so much for responding. I think I will give it one more try using just coconut and olive oil. I have done coconut and olive oil mixed with honey with great success, so I am assuming just the oils will work.

I never really liked them, not even BEFORE LHCF.:nono:

My hair loved it when it was relaxed... :(
Maybe I can just chock it up to my hair changing with the transition. I've found that I used to apply oil to my scalp pretty regularly when relaxed, but now I hardly ever do that anymore... maybe my hair went into shock like... what is this oil?!

Can't say I "hate" them, just never saw any benefits on my hair. I have great succes with oil (avocado) mixed into my deep conditioner though.

I like them but I only use natural oils not any type of serum or commercially made product. I use coconut, castor, and olive oils. I part my hair in 4 sections. I apply the oil near my roots not directly on the length of the hair. Next, I comb thru each section to distribute the oil, pin each section of my hair up, then, put on a plastic cap for an hour. My body heat creates all the heat I need. The oil rinses out easily and my hair comes out soft. Then I move on the shampoo or conditon or both.

I tried doing hot oil treatment but it didnt seem to do much for my hair. Im going to try it again on my next wash day.

My hair use to love hot oil treatments when I was relaxed but since becoming natural I haven't done any.
