I like the first pic. Actually, thats the style that I'm envisioning for when my hair grows out.

But as for the topic at hand. I agree with what some other ladies have stated. I don't think you should cut your progress. You can get a really cute wig to achieve the same affect.

Naaaah, I'm trying to grow my hair back again... it's been cut for the past 2.5 years... cut in bobs, so now i'm letting it grow back. I love fierce cuts though

I'm going shopping today to get myself a short hair wig so I can really figure out what I want to do. I've been planning for my next major cut to be super short and I'm already itching at 2.5 years to cut it that short. Lawd, help me.

Hey Chi Town! Maybe you can recommend a good short wig place b/c the ones that I've found all look very geriatric-ish :nono:

No way!:nono: I've had short hair all of my life, and not by choice. I think I look better with long hair (currently MBL), and I certainly enjoy the greater variety of styles I'm able to do. I also find that it takes less time to style my hair now than when it was shorter...a quick updo and I'm out the door. I like being original, and where I live, being a black woman with HER OWN long hair is definitely a novelty. As a texlaxed head, I still have lots of shrinkage, but it's okay because I also have LENGTH.

For the above reasons, and a few more, I love having long hair. Now that I've got the hang of this hair-growing thang, I'm going for tailbone length.:yep:

ITA...:nono:

No, I'm pretty satisfied with my hair now. I do the bare minimum and it is still thriving. I can't imagine cutting it short again. I've done that a few times and it was okay while it lasted but I like having long hair.

These is very cute hairstyles. The funny thing is I am trying to GROW my hair out to that short length, if that makes any sense.:lachen: I love short hair, and always get compliments on it. But, I don't want to depend on that style as the hairstyle that is the most flattering on me. I don't want to cut my hair, but I love short hair.
Don't do anything drastic, I mean that is why we are here. But, if you do, I won't tell!:lachen::lachen::drunk:
Dh doesn't care either way. He still thinks I look good![/quote]

As most of you know I just cut 8-10" of my natural hair the other day into a very short hairstyle. I love it, have always been partial to short hair, and like you I receive more compliments when my hair is shorter.
DH could care less, he says it's my hair and he'd love me even if I was bald.
Ahh. doesn't that feel great. No pressure!

Um...oh hell to the nawz. This is the longest that my hair has ever been and although I'm sure I'd be able to get it long again, I don't want to wait another 2+ years to get there.

The two cuts are cute though. I think I'd get a wig or a short weave, if I wanted short hair.

Ditto, Ediese! :yep:

Those styles are so cute, but for me it's a no. I've done my short hair days, and it's out of my system. I'm moving on to TBL.

yeah...i love this cut from Black Hair Mag June/July '08...I look at it at least 5x a week and HAVE to tell myself NOOOOO! It's hard though, because I really love it...can be very funky or very conservative, flipped, straight, or curled under....dang...i need a cold shower...and a co-wash...lol

Nope, that why were on a long hair care forum not a short hair care forum, but I cut my hair back in 2006 because it was growing and I didnt know how to do it because I was natural, but now I do, so lets get it long long long

Life is full of changes, right? :look:

I like this style for my face...imagine how easy it would be to rollerset and perm rod. I could use all the color I wanted (yes)!

I don't want to cut my hair, but I think the cuts that you've selected are cute. Make sure it's what you want to do. Worst case is that you hate it but you have the tools to grow it back out. Best case is that you love it and you will be able to maintain the health of your hair because you have the tools to grow it back out.
