And thats my relaxed hair..
A little shorter now since i trimed

I like them, I want to get this style one day when my hair gets a lil longer

I wanted to try them ever since I saw that Kelis picture but I ended up doing regular roller sets instead.

I like them like pictured above (especially that Nicole Kidman shot)..the curl is there, but there is shape to the hair as well...not like a roller or rod was just removed and left that way...not particularly fond of that look.

Do you think i can pull them off?
Or stick with spirals
btw i wear black wide framed glasses and very lightskin

When I want my hair put into this style. I always go to my stylists b/c she can best shape my face for my hair.

Are you doing this yourself? or are you going to a stylist?

Im going to the Dominicans Around my area.
They do it good and my family goes to that salon!!
So i well tell her to shape it for me thanks:drunk:

I love those type of curls and I like them when they look like a straw or roller was just removed. It is a really popular style here. During the Bermuda day holiday lots of girls, relaxed and natural, had their hair this way. Let me show you guys some pics...

I am sure you can but I don't quite know what very light skin has to do with the way curls will look?:look:

I love them. That's my DD's natural curl pattern. Just gorgeous!

These pics are a little dark but hopefully you get the idea

Yes, they were my signature style when I was relaxed.
My husband's favorite hairstyle on me too.

Sometimes they are spiral curls like the ones on Nicole Kidman above. But I think those are a little different (more seperated or piecey) than the styles I posted which are more like a straw set or what spirals look like without being seperated. I think they are two different styles although very similar.

Yes I love them! The only way I do them is on dry hair. After Ive washed, dc, rollerset and flatironed my roots. I just use my smallest rollers at night and by the morning I have a nice set of shirley temple curls. I'll post a pic next time I do them.

This was my main hairstyle from middle school to freshman year in college. It is a cute look for all ages.

Love, love, love them!:yep: They are my signature style that allows me to stretch my texlax touchups...SEE SIGGY BELOW.

i used to get my hair like that all of the time when i was relaxed. i love it!

Not really, but I'm wearing them today. :ohwell: I think they look more sophisticated on short hair like the OP posted. My hair is BSL. If not done right, they can look childish to me.

However, I can't take one more bun, and I rarely use heat, so a wet set it is. :ohwell:

I just let my stylist try spiral curls on me for the first time. I liked it! I think that they will be my signature "home from the stylist" look from now on. I just wish I could do them myself!

I'm not a big fan of the style for myself, but I think it looks cute on others.

Very cute. My mom used to call them "candy curls" when I was little. I used to always want them on special occasions :yep:.

I like the Nicole Kidman pic. I think I might try that this week, I wonder if I can get the same effect with medium sized rollers set vertically...

Yes, I love them. I never truly got the hang of them when I was relaxed, but thanks to Outre, Sensationnel, and Freetress, I don't have to. :giggle:

That's what I was thinking too Muffin! :lachen:Back home in South Florida, we call 'em candy curls. :yep:

<sigh> I'm so homesick......
