Was just wondering if there were any Caucasian women on the board, and also, is there any sort of "Caucasian version" of LHCF?? :)

There is it is called the Long Hair Community

They have good information and it is funny to see that many of the Caucasian women on that board have struggles similar to ours:)

Protectives Styles

Jojoba Oil

Conditioner Washing

IT is interesting

I prefer this forum it is much more specific to AA hair needs

Cool. A former coworker of mine (Caucasian) was telling me one day how I probably don't know what Caucasian women go through in terms of their hair-constantly feeling the need to dye it blonde all the time, which ruins their hair. She was saying that alot of the struggles we go through (although not all them) she can relate to, but she recently moved and I wasn't able to ask her what similar struggles she was referring to...

From what I see they deal with:

"Significant Others hating their up dos & buns"
"Finding creative protective styles"
"Coworkers hating on them for growing out their hair"
"Having hair that is too fine"
"massaging hair with Jojoba & Essential Oils"
"Finding creative conditioners (I saw a thread on Peanut Butter)"
"Avoiding Parabens"

I learned some other things like all of them don't wash their hair everyday either;)

I think it is a nice supplemental website and believe it or not I get good hairstyle ideas from them:ohwell:

I think going blonde for a C/A is like getting a relaxer for an A/A.

Yup, I agree. I go to LHC a lot, but not as much as I go on LHCF. I only posted like 2 times on LHC. There so friendly there, and there's a good amount of men there, too. I can't do a lot of things that they do, like oiling only.

I have to admit that most of the things that have really worked for my hair I've found out about or heard first on LHC. They are super friendly over there, too. I found this forum first, though, which is probably why I post here more often.

They do have awesome tips at LHC and some of the women have 47-50" of hair!

I'm only 61.5" tall, so I was like dang, how do you handle 4 feet of hair????

I found the Long Hair Care Community before I found LHCF. I lurked there for months but the fact that most of the women on there were caucasian and they weren't dealing with the issues that I was wasn't very appealing. When I found LHCF I was like Thank You Lord!

I remember seeing one member one there that had hair down to the back of her knees. I almost passed out seeing all that hair on one person.
