annie loop rollers?

I just ran across these -- how in the world do these work???

I have some of those, I don't care for them though. The ends, the red caps snap onto each other making a 'hoop' or loop. I suppose the set would be like a straw (maybe flexi-rod) set.

My hair was too short to appreciate them when I got them. I haven't tried them lately.
