I go to school in Philly and I was on campus today when I saw a woman with really long dredlocks. When I looked at her from the front it looked about tailbone length. As we passed each other I turned to see her from the back and a few strands were near ankle length.
Now I would never want hair that long, but it when I was younger I always thought that the only way black people could have long hair was if it was locked. Although this site has taught me otherwise, it got me thinking about terminal length. I guess dead hair is never really shed, its woven into the loc so there is no terminal length.
I have never seen hair that long, ever, so i just wanted to share.
