An Easy Question!

I'm a natural and relaxed once when I was 12 but it reverted almost instantly....Dont know anyone else who has relaxed their hair.

But here's the question...

If you relax all of your natural hair...does it ever wair out? For instance if you would compare freshly relaxed hair with the same hair one yr after the relaxer would it look the same?

Hair that is relaxed is permanently relaxed. If it seemed to revert it was probably underprocessed. My childhood was spent going between relaxing and natural since age 10. I wonder why I wasn't bald because when I would transition out of a relaxer, I would get my hair pressed. Relaxed part and all. :ohwell:

Relaxer doesn't wear out. Relaxing CHEMICALLY changes the hair. Once you apply any chemical and for that matter, a certain of heat, you break the chemical bonds in your hair strand and it is not the same any more.

If you noticed reversion, it was probably because you were underprocessed. Judging from your hair type, it was probably the type of relaxer used as well. Hair in the 3 range actually seems to require a stronger level of chemical to straighten then hair in the 4 range.

Ok thanks, but why do so many ladies on here with relaxed hair use flatirons then? if bone straight relaxed hair stays that way forever..

And also..now 8 yrs later, would it be safe for me to relax my entire head?
