I recently bought dabur amla hair oil (dark green) and vatika oil. The vatika oil makes my hair soft and I can use it daily. I've used the amla as a pre-wash several times but my hair always feels tough or hard before and after rinsing. Is that normal?

Does your hair like mineral oil? When I first stared using Amla oil I had a similar problem, but when I mixed it with additional oils the problem vanished. I mixed 2/3 amla oil and 1/3 olive and coconut mixed.

I don't know if my hair likes mineral oil. I know my hair doesn't like cones.

It makes my hair hard too. I have no idea why. I've tried both Amla and Amla light as prepoos and they both make my hair hard.

thanks ladies for your responses. I guess I'll have to toss the amla.

Right-on!!!! I've not read past this quote, but I had to add that the addition of coconut oil sorta cuts the smell down also.

My hair hates Amla oil, but loves Amla powder. Give the powder a try.
