Hi Eripmaven....Welcome to LHCF?

I know of people who go to health clubs and use the steam room to do there deep conditionings. I've also heard of ladies, on this forum, using a facial steamer and a towel as a tent (sorta speak) to concentrate the steam to the hair. HTH! (Hope that Helps!)

This is what I have in my notes that someone tried here from the Board:

Recently I tried a hot towel: the towel was a wet towel that I heated up in the microwave first. put in on a dinner plate folded and heat for 60 seconds(or more if you want it hotter...just don't make it too hot to handle) then wrap it around your hair followed immediately by the plastic cap. covered by a plastic cap and then I got under a 'preheated' hard hooded dryer.
The heat from the dryer and the moisture from the towel gave me a 'steam treatment'.

Also someone did this:
This weekend i did a " steam"- I put my conditioner, wrapped a moist towel around my head, covered the towel with a plastic cap and sat under hooded dryer(set it on high). This worked for me in the same way as when i go to the salon and sit under the hair steamer.

HTH

I steam my conditioners into my scalp using two very cheapo methods:

(1) sit under a hooded dryer with a plastic shower cap on
(2) sleep in a plastic shower cap with a scarf wrapped around it. Your body heat will steam the conditioner, and you will wake up with a wet head...so I don't recommend this during the winter months.
