AIR DRY TWISTOUT HELP

OK I desperately need some advice/help.
I washed and twisted my hair, it's not dripping wet but very very damp. It's 8:26 and almost bedtime. Does anyone know how my twistout will look if I sleep with damp twists? I heard it's a big no no. Should I sit under the dryer for a lil while? HELP!!!

well i don't do twistouts i do braid outs and for me they come out nicely. i always sleep with them wet. but if you're apt to catch cold i suggest you take a vitamin c.
i'm sorry i couldn't be of more help to you....

I do twistset and sleep on them. I don't know how long your hair is but if you think it won't be dry before its time to go to work I would recommend you go and lay down with a bonnet dryer on your head. Wet twistout and work.

I always go to bed with wet flat twists. As the others have already advised, u may want to sit under a hooded dryer either b4 bed or in the morning. It's best if it's dry if u want that "polished" look

I always wash my hair late at night and for now my style and only style is single twists. So i can help.

If your like me you wash your hair and then get twisting, when iv'e finished i spray on some h - two Elasta QP) and tie on my satin scarf. When you wake up in the morning you twsts will be flat on your head, but dont worry, because by the time you give you head a loose shake and get to work they will be pumped up a ready to go.

I think its better to do twists for my 4a/b hair when wet because when i sleep they lie flat on my head in the morning and do not look all puffy.

I also think that if you want to twist out its better to do twists when wet because they will be flat in the morning and when you twist out the curls will look more natural rather then electrified.

I tie mine down with a triangular hairnet so they can dry a little faster. I agree that after tying them down(I do single strand twists...really big ones) they come out better the next day...and in my opinion with less shrinkage. My hair is always still damp in the morning...but by the time I get to the office it is 99% dry.

Thanks you guys! I logged off soon after 10:00 PM and did not see all the responses, I actually went to bed feeling a bit neglected. My twist out came out pretty okay for a first timer. I did end up sleeping on my damp twists and they were dry this morning. I rubbed on some mango butter and finger combed and it looked good. Thanks again.

I never wear my scarf with the twists cuz I figured it might keep them from drying... I leave my head open and sleep with my ceiling fan on (which I ALWAYS do, even in winter!!...)

That is why I use a triangular hair net...

If you are worried about your hair being wet in the morning, let it airdry some before twisting. I always shampoo in the evening, so I let my hair airdry some before braiding or twisting so that my hair isn't wet in the morning.
