I've been to mwtc In Bridgeport? I was there last summer for a couple of weeks!

I think I may have to do cornrows every once in a while. I just don't like the way I look in them :-/ (a 12 yr old boy ..esp in cammies lol)

What kind of grease did you use? I love castor oil, but it's still not as good as gel, unfortunately.

Yep - Bridgeport! Sorry we didn't know of each other then! If you ever make it back, come by my office and say hi. I'm the Base Engineer/Construction Manager (ROICC Office, Supply Bldg). I get really happy when I see some other people of color around!

Yea, the cornrows aren't exactly feminine, but for me they were neat, clean, quick and easy - everything you need when your "expedious". At the time, although I was natural, I didn't know anything about healty hair practices so I used green or blue Dax and water. Works like a charm. And with the water added, not drying at all.

Like others have suggested, I say use something heavy like a butter or POMADE and tie at night.
