i'm thinking of getting a retouch next week. i'm actually gonna have danyelle do it because candy doesn't use the Affirm relaxer.

anyway, if i do, i'll definitely take more, but believe it or not, i have FINALLY gotten sick of taking pics of my hair. i feel like it's looking the same so why bother.

Yeah you thought it looked the same last time until we took the picture and come to find it you had about a good 2 to 3 inches of growth! But it's been such a while that I know that the results are going to be amazing! I am really looking forward to them.

Let me know when you go. Maybe I will come and sit in the shop with you! I have no life!

p.s. i'm hoping you'll be right about the progress that i've made.

Hey Adrienne
wave.gif
. I just looked at your pics. I saw the album on shedding. Did it stop and what did you use to make it stop?

hi, kia!

no, it hasn't stopped completely, but i think it's a little better. it may be wishful thinking though. i believe it was caused by BC pills so i stopped taking them in october. it's supposed to take 6 months for the extra hormones to leave your system. this is now month 6. so i'm hoping it will really improve shortly. thanks for asking! are you having this problem as well? i hope not. it's kind of depressing.

Yeah I have this problem. I don't know if you read my post on how I took zoloft for my PMS for the past 4 years. Slowly it really thinned my hair out badly. I just completly stopped it last week after slowly weening(spelling??) myself off of it. I hope my hair comes back

I'm glad you brought this up too Lee. Yeah Adrienne, it would be really nice to see update photos. As a matter of fact, I was checking out your album earlier. I do that from time to time to get a little motivation
grin.gif
. And believe me, a sista needs all the motivation she can get right now.

you ladies are just too kind!

i justl luv ur hair its sooooo long (im jealous)
newayz when u had braids how long did u leave em in 4
is 3 months 2 long??

thanks, nappi!!
smile.gif

i left the braids in for three months most of the time. i also washed my hair on a weekly basis though. so i was able to avoid product buildup. that's the main thing to watch for when leaving them in that long.

We are just telling the truth! Your hair is truly a motivation to many! And I will be your "watch dog" and everytime she picks up the sheen I'll make a high pitch uneasy squeal...think she'll catch on?

what do you spray your hair with? you should try S-Curl activator spray (big surprise
grin.gif
). seriously, this stuff washes out easily and doesn't leave build up.

I'm happy to see that I'm not the only closet admirer of Adrienne's hair
notworthy.gif
. I've done so many searches trying to figure out your regime. I also just bought S-curl because I kept reading how much you recommend it. I was scared at first and only applied it in the back. It worked so well on the new growth. I can't wait for the next wash and set to apply it everywhere. Do you just use it like a setting lotion spraying the entire length of your hair? Everyone says it makes your scalp itch. How do you keep from getting it on the scalp? Thanks! I'll be looking out for your new pics too.
smile.gif

Nappi,

I'll put my money on the coconut/carrot oil. I noticed coconut oil left a white residue on my scalp if I don't shampooo properly, maybe it's leaving it in your hair. Also glycerin really attracts lint/buildup so you may have to wash more often or dilute your spray. It's funny though using this scurl I have no buildup except around my hairline, usually it's pretty bad buildup everywhere. Hmmm! Plus Adrienne gave me a tip a while ago. Applying oil to my scalp everyday (or every other day if you want)...maybe try the proven oil mixture, jojoba oil or kemi oyl. The seems to keep the buildup from really setting in. Maybe that's why I hardly have buildup now. I oil daily with the proven oil mix. HTH!

And Adrienne I can't wait. You know I about pics, what last month?...lol. Can't wait! I'll log on over the weekend just to see it...

Guuurl, I am so sick and tired of my damn hair. I have been in underprocessed hell for what seems like forever. My recent fiasco was about 2 weeks ago when I went to get my hair professionally relaxed for the first time in eons. The stylist did everything well, but I am now convinced that I need a stronger relaxer. I am going back in two weeks to get another relaxer cause I'm sick of this crap. I've been wearing my hair in a ponytail for almost 8 months now because of this. Whenever I wear my hair down, it's half fuzzy and half straight. Hopefully, this time when a get a regular strength relaxer, my hair will look right. Oh and since this has been going on, it seems like I'm never getting to brastrap. I thought for sure I would be there by now, but I'm still two inches away. We'll see what happens after I get the hair straightened out
ohwell.gif

thanks, cheveux!
smile.gif
i mostly only use curl activator when i wear my hair up. i did recently use it like a setting lotion before blow drying, but i didn't apply that much because i wasn't sure how it would work. it was great though. i guess avoiding the scalp completely is impossible. so i just try not to spray or apply directly on it. and that seems to be enough to keep it from itching. the first time i tried was with the braids. i put it directly on there in the parts. my scalp was on fire. i had to rewash my hair.
ohwell.gif

armyqt, be careful with the re-relaxing. will you be timing it yourself to be sure they don't do it too long? my best friend had this done recently on one area of her hair. it went okay, but you just have to be cautious. good luck!

okay, i made an appointment for thursday at 3:00. i might have to cancel though because of something i'm working on at work. i hope i get to keep the appointment though. leejure, how does that time look for you? if you're free, come on down!
